Lee Stafford 'Sea Salt Spray'

We all want that beach hair look, the care-free messy hair that reminds us of summer, friends, relaxing and not having any worries. The hair that looks like you just got out of bed (no matter how many times I get out of bed, my hair will never look like that, I look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards) So I went on a mission to find the easiest way to achieve this look.

First I decided to hit youtube, and found various tutorials on how to get 'beach hair' without going to the beach. Most involved braiding your hair when its wet and sleeping on it, (which I did) and after waking up I undone the braids and to be fair my hair was curly, but it was just too curly, it was to neat and didn't have that 'messy' feel I was going for.

So I went back to the good old internet and came across a selection of sea salt sprays which claim to 'give you the beach effect' as the salt in the spray brings out textured waves in your hair, just as the sea salt water does at the beach. So I picked up the Lee Stafford Sea Salt Spray from Boot's, in there 3 for 2 offer (which is still going on). I think it was around £7.

Anyway I read the instructions, basically spray it in your wet hair and either blow dry it or let it dry naturally  I decided to let it dry naturally and the results were great. Not excellent but good enough for me to want to use it again, I did find that it knotted my hair a bit, but I guess thats what happens when your at the beach to, so its the whole experience I suppose. It did however create beach waves and supprisingly they stayed in all day (as my hair has a habit of falling out of normal curls, its naturally straight).

Good Points:

  • Did create beach waves
  • Easy to use
  • Quick
  • Affordable

Bad Points:
  • Hair tangles after using it
  • Hair becomes dry
  • Will need a deep condition after using this product

I took a picture of myself after using the Sea Salt Spray so you can see the results:

I hope you liked my little review of the Lee Stafford Sea Salt Spray, and hopefully you found it useful, If you have any questions about this product, please leave me a message and I will be sure to answer it.

Thanks for reading,
Rachel Ward.
